    Son Heung min, born on July 8, 1992 in Gangwon-do, Chuncheon, South Korea, is a professional football player and a striker. He is currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in England. Son Heung-min is one of the greatest footballers in the history of football.     In August 2015, Son Heung-min moved to Tottenham Hotspur for $36 million, making him the most expensive player in Asia. He made his Premier League debut on 13 September 2015 as a substitute against Sunderland. He scored eight goals in 40 games in his debut season with Tottenham, who are third in the table. Son scored 14 goals in 34 Premier League appearances in the next season, achieving totally of 21 goals in all competitions. 

    Son Heung min also won the Premier League Player of the Year award in April, becoming the first Asian to win the award. He scored a goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in the 2017/18 season.

    On November 5, 2017, Son scored the only goal against Crystal Palace, breaking Park Ji-sung's previous Premier League Asian scoring record with 20 goals.

    • Personal life

    ★Son Heung min’s father used to be a football player and played for the South Korean national team. His mother, Enziji, has always supported Son's dream of becoming a footballer. When Son decided to leave school to join Hamburg FC, she showed her great support. He has an older brother named Heung Yon Son. Heung-min showed an interest in sports from an early age. He developed an interest in football as a child and soon became the best footballer of his age.


    Son has dated the K-pop singers Bang Min-ah and Yoo So-young, and is currently single.


    In 2019, Son donated around £100,000 to the victims of the Goseong Fire, which left vast devastation in Goseong County, Gangwon, in his native South Korea. In 2020, Son donated £65,000 in aid, to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea.
